It wouldn’t be jampacked “Weekend” if it’s just saturday right? So here’s the sunday sched. My previous post, was our day in Bolinao. Yup, we spent the whole day doing those touristy things and going to the beach. Chill, relax, and totally unplugging. However, the second day, still touristy I suppose, but very demanding as it required us to challenge our physical abilities. In the end, the pain was totally worth it.
“Beat the Heat” and “Summer” posts are rampant, and in the first few weeks of May, I thought that facebook might crash with the amount of uploads happening, but that’s just here I guess. I’m trying to make some excuses for forgetting to post our first summer escapade of 2014. So Here we go:
We planned it to coincide with one of my cousin’s birthday. It would be her first time, after a very long time, to go to the beach, with us! Sometimes, you can find your best girl buds inside your family. 🙂
Well I intended it as a play on words, as Caramoan has many Islands, and I can’t remember every name of every beach we had ever been. Except for maybe one or two.
I haven’t really blogged about what I felt during this vacation, and that is because I’m being selfish. I want to keep all my ocean-vibes to myself. And now I’m having a meltdown. I need to get it out of my system.
Describing caramoan as a paradise is common. But for me, it is more than a getaway. It is an escape. Before I leave for vacation, there’s just too much on my mind, about work, about personal issues and some. But the moment the bus started moving, I forgot all my worries and set my mind to look forward. I know I’m going to enjoy this vacation.
12 hours grueling travel by bus, van and boat. All to escape the bustling city and finally sink our toes to the beaches of Caramoan.
That one time where we gave in to our impulse and booked an overnight trip to Boracay. And found ourselves broke and in three weeks time, bound for the beach.
With the tickets in my hands, and merely weeks to our first beach getaway, I couldn’t think straight of how could I possibly save up. But eventually we did, and well as the saying goes, “Go with the flow”, we did.
Armed with our excitement and overnight bags, we head to the Island of Boracay, and braced ourselves for an unforgettable all girls weekend.
The reason why it has been so long since I’ve posted anything is because of the summer heat. Beat that. No really, last April we were at the beach and enjoyed the sun, the sand and the sea. Apparently you can be at one island and be exploring 3 different beaches.
Destination: Boracay, Philippines
Where you could never go wrong with the white sands 😀
Below is the famous White beach/ Long beach.
(Pardon if we used ourselves as models) The green thingy are seaweeds, we don’t know why the are there either, they say it is because of the rainy season.
And here is another well known beach, because instead of sands, there are … SEASHELLS! So it’s called the PUKA SHELL BEACH!
This next beach came as a surprise as initially we didn’t want to go, but the kind lady receptionist suggested we take a look, and she added that it is a private beach, so we did a little trekking, sweated a little, to be gifted by a very lovely view of PUNTA BUNGA BEACH 🙂
So there we go. Beach hopping under the sun, so yeah we didn’t get to do some activities, banana boat ride, helmet diving, etc, but we got loads of swimming and loads of sun burned skin!
Hope you had a great Summer too! 🙂
